San Francisco, CA 94128
San Francisco Airport (SFO) .
AS far asI know San Francisco International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the United States. Although it is not specifically located in San Francisco and is located 13 miles south of Downtown San Francisco.
As for my personal experience, San francisco airport is a huge airport with so much space. With that said though, you wouldn't be scared getting lost in it because signs and directions are located everywhere.
One more thing I like about here is that this airport is organized so you'll know exactly where you should be without causing you too much head aches. May be simple looking but a classy ambiance is portray.
Don't forget to have your photo taken with the San Francisco welcome sign located at the baggage claim area.
...and look at these cool wall frame of San Francisco city maps.
Guide To SF Airport
Most of the airports I have been to, their attractions and amenities are beyond security but in San Francisco, it's kind of different.
KIDS SPOT: If you are flying with your cute little ones, this is the place where you want to be so you can relax while letting your kids be entertained. They have one in TERMINAL 2 and TERMINAL 3.
XPRESSSPA: If you're needing a massage or just getting your nails done, this one is for you. Can be found at International Terminal, TERMINAL 2 and TERMINAL 3.
YOGA ROOM: Yes! SF have it! Want to have a relaxing aura before you sit yourself on the plane for hours. Just so you know, San Francisco's International airport is the first airport to have a Yoga dedicated room. Located also in TERMINAL 2 and TERMINAL 3
TERMINAL 1: Also offers Berman Reflection Room and Christian Science Reading Room, that are also located before security so family or companions of the travelers can enjoy whilst waiting with them.
One thing is good about San Francisco is that transportation even without a car is never a problem.
If you need a ride to San Francisco which is a 30 minutes drive from the airport, you can use the following:
BART: Best to take if you arrive during rush hours. That will take you to San Francisco for a cheaper price, as low as $8.50 compared to Lyft/Uber and Taxis which will be $30 - $60.
Lyft/Uber: Not as expensive as taxis which is one way to get to San Francisco and although it's not as cheap as bart, but will definitely be of help when you have a lot of luggages with you.
Just keep in mind that in the airport, there's a designated location for ubers and lyfts for you to be picked up.
Taxi: Last but not the least, there’s always this traditional taxi lines if you prefer.
