Zark's Burger. Opened in the year 2009 and that's about when I was in college I hear about this place a lot from my classmates. Living in the southern part of Luzon traveling to their only branch back then is too much of a hassle. I really don't want to go all the way to Manila just to get to eat them. Well, honestly I am not a fan of burgers ever since but as much as I am amazed, I am really excited trying this Filipino Oversized Burger.
...so Why Do Filipinos go crazy about this Burger Food Chain
1. BECAUSE... Philippines' food chains are not that affordable when you're just an average Filipino living in the Philippines so people are trying to be practical when choosing food. Nowadays a bunch of good looking food advertisements scattered all over Philippines tempting people to buy it yet are all just a bunch of scammers, you'll see a bigger, good looking picture of the food in posters or tv ads but when it is delivered to you, disappointment kicks off. The size is too small, unpresentable to eat and the price is a real rip off.
2. BECAUSE... I see they branch out to a lot places now. So when a simple food chain branch out in malls, It means it's BOOMING. Not just that, Philippines have a lot of food business of all kinds and to be competent of all that means you are something not just affordable but good!
3.LASTLY... I see lines outside and people's willingness to wait to be seated and served. I dont see Filipinos line up like that for a burger? NOPE! But with Zarks, there are lines everyday in whichever branch of theirs. Mostly, you'll see Filipinos line up for UNLIMITED RICE, BUFFETS or FREE FOOD. Well I bet they really are in to this.
So, might as well give it a try.
Yes! The outcome was great and you can see it in our faces. It kinda took a while cooking it but it's worth waiting it. I felt like I forgotten how long I waited after I saw the food. It was just as promised, BIG, tender and fulfilling. We actually shared the meal and yet we left with a full stomach and satisfied at the same time. No wonder a lot of the Filipino's are willing to wait just for these. For an estimated 200php ($4-$5) a plate of burger and fries that is actually good for two. What reasons are you still waiting to hear? Run for it now burger lovers.
By the way, they also have a challenge in which if you finished it in 5 minutes they will be giving the food you order for you as free or if you beat the fastest person who won in their eating challenge you can be part of their hall of fame.
