TEJERO HIGHLAND RESORT AND ADVENTURE PARK is the best place to go in Dumaguete if you're thirsty for extreme adventures. Located specifically in the town of Valencia which is a short drive from Dumaguete's town and it only took us 30-40 minutes of driving and finding the place. Tejero Highland resort and adventure park is actually easy to find and located on the mountain so you can expect that the weather is a little bit cold here.

They have a pool, slides, atvs and zip lines. Talking about adventure, this place almost have it all. Of course, I'm not an extremist myself but there's one thing I'd really really love to do and have been doing. That's the "ATV RIDE" !!!! I don't know about you but even though I don't drive nor have a license yet, I can confidently say I can do better on ATVs even on rough road than you. Although I am not an expert, just to be clear.

HOW TO GET THERE:

By car/scooter

-From the airport

-then left on Dumaguete North Road (outside airport)

-turn right on cervantes st.

-left on sta rosa street

-right on real st.

-right on jose Romero road

-drive straight ahead (luzuriaga st)

-then another left on legarda st.

-then right on Taft street.

-drive ahead, destination on your right.

Friendly Advice:

It's better to use MAPS or GMAPS if you're confused about the streets

This big wheels are my thing!!! ...and riding on it at first, honestly makes me nervous because I'm the kind of person who is kind of a paranoid.

If you are a first timer, don't be afraid to try. There are guides that will teach you and theywill come with you on the road. You don't need a license to drive these big bad babies but you still need to put extra caution in driving them so my advice is to listen to your guide and do as they say. We don't want our travel to end up in a bad way right?

This are the prices for their adventures offered. We really want to do the ATV and so when we get there we asked about it and which one is the best tour to choose. Each Atv tours goes to different attractions that you can choose from.

We chose the one that goes to Japanese shrine. Why? well they said that it is the most challenging ATV ride of all so might as well get the most thrilling part of it. It's not our first time riding the Atv that's why we pick the most challenging to add to the thrill.

After setting it up, putting our helmets and a little tutorial about the Atv we are ready to go. We have our go pro with us that the guide's assistant that is sitting behind him, facing us will be holding to get our videos taken.

The road at first are smooth although not wide enough and we got to be cautious of other cars too because we're actually driving it on their main road. After driving through the main road, we then get to this rocky road that is really a tough ride not because it's just rocky but also we're driving up hill. It's scary at some point that we can see the cliff on our side and one wrong move will lead us to the fall.

...and you dont need to worry about being thirsty since they will be giving you a complimentary bottle of water. You'll definitely need it along the way specially the ride would take 15 minutes to 2 hours, really depends which tour you want to take.

They offer different tours with different level of roughness, so if you are game for the most challenging one then ask for that one!

The view along the way is amazing so you will definitely gonna enjoy it. We rode for half an hour going to the shrine and finally we made it to the top! I'm really thankful that God helps us made it through safely.

We didn't regret choosing to go here because it is indeed challenging. That's why we rest a little because the long bumpy, rocky and near the cliff road is not that easy to get through but being at the shrine definitely took all our tiredness away and you'll get to see an amazing sight on it's view deck.

So much for today, heading back is just as challenging as going. Long bumpy roads and to think that it's downhill, beside the cliff and very rocky, even the assistant guy that is holding our camera almost fall from his seat and I almost lost my grip to the atv and my boyfriend got stuck couple times. Over all it's an amazing experience!
