Tanay Rizal's sea of clouds viewpoint and picturesque landscape: "Ang Probinsyano's" filming spot

Updated: Mar 17, 2019

There's a lot of hiking spots in Tanay, Rizal that you may already have seen in the internet. But this one is the newest place to explore in Tanay and it just got open to the public. With that being said, you can totally enjoy this place as there's not too many people in here or there's actually no one in here but you (well except for the guide too).

Get to see stunning and practically untouched landscapes, catch the glorious sunrise and even a chance to see the magnificent rolling sea of clouds. These are just one of the many reasons why you should check this place out.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Also, another good reason why this place is a must visit is because of its accessibility from Manila. Which takes you about 2 to 3 hours ride to get there (depending on the traffic).

There are several ways you can do to get there and here are some:

Commuting Guide to Tanay Rizal

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS TRIP:

*BEST TIME TO GO THERE:

- Before the sunrise just so you get to see the highlights of being there which is the sunrise

itself and their rolling sea of clouds.

- Also, traveling in the morning is smooth and less stressful because it saves you the trouble

of being stuck in traffic jam.

*WHAT TO EXPECT:

- Expect cold weather specially in the morning since the temperature is lower because you

will be in a foggy mountain that surely will give you chills.

- Also, expect bumpy and inclined roads ahead. It's gonna be a real bumpy ride.

*PACK WITH YOU:

- Water and Food. Because even if it's an easy hike you will still get thirsty and hungry,

besides there's no stores up there or if they have it will be real pricey.

- Warm clothes. As I was saying, temperature here drops at cold degrees.

Entrance Fee: Php150/pax

Budget Breakdown:

Take note prices may vary, this prices are the actual price that was given to us upon entering. Also as mentioned, they just recently open this place for public and may change if this gets popular :) Shared by two (2) people.

From Cogeo Gate 2

Jeepney Fare -- PHP 96 (48/pax) for 2 pax . Tricycle – Php300 (back and forth) for 2pax . or Habal: Costs 100 per pax Entrance Fee – Php300 (150/pax) for 2 pax .

---------------------------------------------------------- Total – Php PHP696

It's one of the most amazing landscapes In the Philippines to see.

A plus for it's unspoiled beauty, relaxing breeze and smooth sun rays touching my skin.

How did we found this place? A word of the mouth of course! I am glad we did!

We we're about to visit the famous treasure mountain when we stumble upon one of the locals and told us that there is a better place to go to that is higher than the treasure mountain. Well, coming from locals we figure we can give it a try and so we did! Neither do we know it'll will take our breath away.

For the price of 150php on a tricycle, the driver drove us on a bumpy roads. When I say bumpy, it's literally bumpy to the point that I have to grip harder on the tricycle or I will be thrown out. I'm not even joking about it, I also thing that if you choose to ride the habal instead, it will be way worse. I'm so glad we didn't, besides it is a little pricey for the fact that I'll be risking my life, well no way.

This is where you will be dropped off by the tricycle driver ( instead of walking up he suggested that he will just drive us up there which is nice, but it is scary! A ride on the tricycle going on an inclined - bumpy road, driving by the cliff. I'll tell you this, I almost have hugged the handles of the tricycle to make sure I won't fall off or I could have fall to my death. Wrong Idea, next time I'd rather just struggle walking up hill than entrust my life there, but I'd have to say it was fun and thrilling at the same time.

If this house seems familiar to you, well it is! This is the famous' Philippine TV show's set. The "Ang Probinsyano" where this house was the house of Alyana and Cardo Dalisay. Well according to locals, they come here every other day to film so that's one thing why this will be famous for.

Aside from all I have said, here are Photos that will take your breath away :)

We get to enjoy the place for ourselves so we took tons of photographs.

This is the other side of the view.

Me and my friend totally enjoy it to the fullest! With no time limit nor crowd!

If you get too imaginative, you can create photos like this!
