This wonderfully built swimming pool overlooking the Taal Lake in Escala Tagaytay is one of the most sought after hotel in Tagaytay which is two hours away from Manila.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS TRIP:
~ Due to its popularity, this hotel does not accept walk-ins. So if you are planning to stay here, I suggest to do it online!
~ as per IATF, Department of Tourism & Tagaytay LGU regulations, only a maximum of two (2) persons are allowed in their Deluxe, Deluxe Premier & Prestige Rooms. Third person / extra bed is strictly forbidden in observance of social distancing protocols.
Location: Escala Tagaytay is at Purok 102, Poblete Street, Barangay Maharlika West, Tagaytay.
Located just next to Tagaytay's famous skyranch, this hotel is one of the hotels in Tagaytay having such a majestic view of the famous Taal Lake and after visiting this hotel, I consider this as one of Tagaytay's hidden gem.
This is the lobby section of the hotel where you're welcomed by the employees who are well dressed. The minimalistic look of the hotel itself brings out the sophistication of this place.
Escala Dining Area
This is the dining area of Escala Tagaytay. This wooden themed hotel makes it more connected and blends with nature. They offer a buffet for breakfast complimentary for those who are staying.
Hotel Rooms and Amenities:
Their room is well designed and more on a minimalistic style if you may ask, although I wanted to be honest with you. The materials are obviously cheap but if you don't really mind it, in my point of view it is a good place to stay at still despite it.
I have said that the materials they have used are cheap for the following reason: their doorbells were not working and found the button stuck on the door. Also, their TV is a cheap brand I may say, ones that you can buy in CDR King, their beds have holes in them and so are the sockets. As well as parts of the ceilings have holes on them considering that this is a newly built hotel. So do not expect that it is all sunshine but like I have said, if you do not really mind all that and is all for the view, the overall of the hotel for me is worth it.
Wireless / WiFi
Vanity Basin & Mirror
Flat Screen TV
Bathroom Amenities (Free Toiletries)
The room that we got is the premiere which is a little bigger than their deluxe room. With more space, The Premier Room features a 39 square meters floor area with a Queen and a double size beds, and a private balcony also offering a partial view of Taal Lake and the infinity pool.
This is what to expect at their pool area. A wonderful view of both Taal and this hotel's architecture, I believe that it is well thought of because each and every part of it compliments the beauty of the view. The wonderful stairs by the pool, the abstract and edgy look of the hotel and the glassy look of the balcony reflecting the greens around it.
The water in the pool as a lot of you would ask is cold. They do not have a heater for it so expect it to be super cold specially if the weather in Tagaytay is at it's low temperature. Despite this, I would not miss enjoying it as it offers you such great view as well while you are cosily enjoying your vacation, escaping the heat in Manila.
More Pictures from the pool:
Sunset in Escala Tagaytay
But one of the most beautiful time I have spent here is watching the sunset from the balcony. The design of the lights from the pool here just added to this wonderful view of the overlooking of the city and their city lights. It felt like the stars have spread all over the earth this day and it is so magical!
All in all, my stay here is worth it, enjoyable and relaxing!
