Desserts you should definitely try when you are in Hawaii

  • Description: I could say that this is the best dessert to try here in Hawaii. You'll see a lot of different places that makes them but I like Island vintage better. 



2. Shave Ice

  • Loction: 322 Kuulei Rd, Kailua, HI 96734

  • ​Hours: Tue thru Sun (10:30am-5pm) | Mon (CLOSED)

  • Description: Knowing the weather in this tropical state, you'll probably will crave for cold desserts and this one will not fail you at all. Shave ice is pretty popular here in Hawaii and it's color represents it's different flavors that you can have in one sitting. Satisfy your taste buds as you cool off with this shave ice from Kailua Shave Ice co.




3. Lappert's Ice Cream

  • Location: 2005 Kalia Road Honolulu, HI 96815

  • Hours: Daily 5:30 AM - 11PM 

  • Description: When it comes to Ice cream stores, this by far is my favorite. Why? Because this is where ice cream you've never tried before in your life can be found that is so local! Handcrafted in Hawaii, their flavors are so unique and their ice cream gives off the taste of Hawaii right at the tip of your tongue. I suggest you get their "Kauai Pie" (Kona Coffee based ice cream, Macadamia nuts, Vanilla crunch, Dark Gellato Fudge and Coconut flakes). or "Maunakea Secret" (White chocolate based Ice cream, raspberry sorbet and brownies). This two are their top picks, that's in this picture.



4. Matcha Shave Ice and Ice cream.

  • ​Hours: 11:30AM - 9:00PM

  • Description: I told you, Hawaii have a diverse culture and so food here are in all sorts of variety. Enjoy Japanese dessert style plus Hawaiian dessert style at once with this Matcha Ice cream on top of Matcha shave ice.



5. BANÁN's Dairy- Free soft serve Bananas

  • Location: 1810 University Ave. Honolulu, HI 96822

  • ​Hours: Mon - Sat 10am - 8pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm

  • Description: Yes! Dairy-free!!! Made of Banana's and other island ingredients served with Papaya as a holder that is sure is edible too! Stop wasting plastic cups and even paper cups and get one of these!!! This I believed is a sharing size, unless you can eat them all! In which I believe I can and will definitely makes you feel satisfied and healthy! Feel the island vibes with these cuties.





6. Dole Whipped

  • Location: 64-1550 Kamehameha Hwy. Wahiawa, Hawaii 96786

  • ​Hours: open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (tours and attractions close at 5:00 p.m.) and is closed on Christmas Day.

  • Description: Found in Dole Plantation, this ice cream slash juice will give you the perfect island taste of Pineapples fresh from the farm itself. Prepare to taste the sour and sweet pineapple produced from the Dole Plantation in Oahu Hawaii.






7. FROST

  • ​Hours: 11am-9pm daily

  • Description: Frost, as a famous dessert place in Kailua where you can get yogurts of your choice of flavors. From fruity, chocolatey, candy and coffee flavors to choose from. The best part of this is that you get to mix them altogether in one cup and also put your own choice of toppings. A variety of crunchies, biscuits, chocolates, fruits, brownies and so much more to choose from. They also serve smoothies and shakes that are made from the yogurt flavor of your choice. Suits you dessert‘s desires.


8. LANIKAI JUICE PRESSED JUICE

  • ​Hours: Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm | Monday-Saturday 6:00am-8:00pm 

  • Description: If you're looking for a so local HAWAIIAN organic desserts to go to, this one is right for you!!! Serving, pressed juices, acai bowls, smoothies, organic chips and so much more, Lanikai Juice have win the heart of both tourist and locals. 



9. LIHING MUI CANDY


  • Location: Local stores

  • Description: Lihing or also called as Lihing Mui is an orange colored powder that gives off a crazy variety of a strong taste. Wether it’s salty, sweet or sour or all of this taste put together as one, so if you will ask me “will I like it?” I’d say no one can actually guarantee as it’s an acquired taste so no one can be sure how to describe it.
