1. BYODO - IN TEMPLE

  • Description: Byodo-in Temple is a replica of the Japanese temple in Uji Japan that is located in Oahu Hawaii. This temple have been considered as one of the hidden gems. A lot of tourist have put this in their itinerary simply because of it's captivating landscape, architecture and gorgeous nature backdrop of Koolau Mountain.


2. PALI LOOK OUT

  • Location: Nu'Uanu Pali, Honolulu, HI

  • Description: An over looking scenic spot of the Koolau Mountain, Kailua town and Kailua Beach. Pali (meaning cliff ) is a look out which has been one of the most visited tourist spot in Hawaii. It is also a site with deep historical significance where the battle of Nuuanu happened in which King Kamehameha I won. The struggle that led to a united Oahu under his rule.


3. MAKAI RESEARCH PIER

  • Location: 41 - 305 Kalanianaole Highway, Waimanalo, HI

  • Description: Aside from this hidden "under the bridge" stunning view is also its incredibly clear water that adds up to its beauty. Despite this being under the Makai Research Facility, it is totally open for public where you can go swimming and hang out. A perfect spot to peacefully spend your vacation along with the view of the island and mountain around it.


4. WAIKIKI BEACH

  • Location: Waikiki Beach, Honolulu, HI

  • Description: The famous beach of Oahu Hawaii that is visited by thousands of tourist and even locals a day. The perfect combination of beach by the city is what made this place so popular aside from its stunning panoramic view of the clear ocean water. You can't say you've been in Hawaii if you've never been here. so better put it in the list.

So we're not just talking about stunning pictures here but also an educational spot to get a better knowledge about Hawaii's history.


7. MAUNAWILI VILLAGE

  • Description: A village with one of a kind picturesque Olomana mountain as it's back drop. You will definitely enjoy a walk in this small neighborhood. Guarantee to be one of the places to get your vacation house built specially if you want a peaceful neighborhood plus an astonishing view of the mountain.

10. HOOMALUHIA BOTANICAL GARDEN

  • Description: Backdropping the Oahu's stunning mountain, the Koolau. This spot have made it to my list as one of the most beautiful and instagram worthy destination in Oahu, Hawaii. With its jaw dropping backdrop, every spot in this area is worth a shot. Just be creative (no one would think I'm leaning on a barbecue grill lol).


11. DIAMOND HEAD CRATER HIKE

  • Location: Kapahulu, Honolulu, HI 96815

  • Description: One of the most visited spot in Hawaii. With a visitor fee of $1, you get to enjoy the natural national landmark hike, its history and a worthy view of the Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head's Crater. A total stunner and worth the 99 steps up in addition to your trek.


12. HANAUMA BAY

  • Location: Honolulu, Oahu, HI 96825-2005

  • Description: Crowded yet a beautiful beach, Hanauma bay. This beach is one of the most visited spot in Hawaii. Its beauty is captivating which is the main reason why it attracts hundreds and hundreds of visitors everyday.


13. KAKA'AKO STREET

  • Description: Kaka’ako street is more of a hip area known for its vibrant wall graffitis that are stunningly beautiful and artistic! Free for everyone to see, just walk around and you can do as many shots as you like!

  • Description: A majestic waterfalls found in the Kalihi Rainforest. Although now closed to the public, I can never deny how this waterfalls can be stunning even on a rainy day.


15. MAKAPUU LIGHTHOUSE

  • Location: Makapuu Lighthouse rd, Hawaii

  • Description: A lookout of the red-roof light house and an offshore islet. Best to go to with kids because it is a paved road which gives you an easy access even if you have strollers with you.


16. Koko Head

  • Location: 7602-7604 Koko head Park road Hawaii

  • Description: One of the popular landmark in Oahu, the Koko Head. Also, one of the most visited hike. Prepare to climb this mountain known to have a thousand steps reaching the top.


17. SECRET ISLAND

  • Location: 49-560 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744

  • Description: The name says it all, a secret island found in Oahu where it is literally a place to end up after wandering in the forest.


18. HALONA BEACHCOVE

  • Location: Halona beach covve, Hawaii

  • Description: Though it's off the beaten path, many have seen the beauty of this place and an uncrowded beach. A perfect getaway and relaxation place to go to.


19. NORTH SHORE

  • Location: North shore Hawaii

  • Description: A bit away from the city, this 2 hour drive place is not the least place to be in here in Hawaii. Famous for surfer because of its gigantic waves and for tourist who have an eye for unique, island style foods.

20. Waimanalo Country Farms

  • Location: Waimanalo, Oahu Hawaii

  • Description: It's a flower farm and also a pumpkin farm depending upon the season. A great photo opportunity for those who loves taking pictures, includes the jaw dropping mountain of Koolau.


21. Aloha Tower

  • Location: Honolulu Harbor

  • Description: Aloha Tower is a lighthouse and is considered as a landmark of Hawaii. With restaurants, school and market place surrounds it. The view on the deck is stunning!


22. Olomana Mountain

  • Location: Maunawili, HI

  • Description: Olomana mountain is one of the most famous yet the hardest hike in Hawaii. With its three peaks you have to climb and its rocky paths, this is definitely not for many but you can always enjoy the view from up there or of the mountain.


23. Ehukai Pillbox Hike

  • Location: 59-178 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, Oahu, HI 96712-9725

  • Description: A short and easy hike, unless it's muddy. This hike in Haleiwa is perfect for hiking with kids to enjoy the mountain and sceneries of the beach. Also have a small pillbox with artsy walls for a good photo opportunity.
